MACBETH!!!! Creepy.
Our fall show, MacBeth will be starting rehearsals in a few weeks! We are so pumped. We have an amazing cast and design team, and we are going to blow your minds.
It runs Friday, October 26th - Sunday, November 4th.
Evening show tickets are now available at macbeth.brownpapertickets.com
Matinee shows on Sundays Oct. 28th and Nov. 4th and Saturday Nov. 3rd will be available soon!
Here is a little description of the show brought to you by our fearless leader and director, Raife Baker.
"A demented twist on a terrifying tragedy, The Crook Theater Company's Macbeth opens on October 26th at The Access Theater in TriBeCa. The troubled thane and his fiend-like queen will let nothing stand in the way of becoming the last men standing. This gender-bending adaptation highlights the scariest aspects of Shakespeare's story, setting the play in a bleak future full of violence and betrayal, and devoid of hope. Featuring the talents of many brand-new New York artists, this production mines the Scottish play for its deep horror and dark comedy. Demons, witches, zombies, and bloody murder make this the perfect Halloween treat!"
Directed by Raife Baker, the cast includes Marisa Duchowny, Ben Kahre, Phillip Mills, Dan Morrison, Lloyd Mulvey, Richard Prioleau, Max Rosenak, Kyle Schaefer. The production/design team consists of Joseph Clayton Ernst, Christina Wallace, Whitney Dearden, Roy Howington, Dan Rousseau, Phil Pickens, and Dan Morrison. Runs 10/26-11/4 at the Access Theater in TriBeCa.

Halfway point.
We have officially made it half way through the run of PLUNGE. The cast is still discovering things every night and I believe with our improved understanding of the play and characters, the play itself has evolved and each night it gets better and better. I am very proud of the cast and our company. Thank you all who have supported us in any way. For those of you who haven't made it out to see us yet, get on it! Don't let this great show slip past you.

An image for the ECard
JC was asking if I could get an eCard put together so that you have an image to send electronically and via email out to the world. I've combined the two sides of the postcard into a single image and shrunken it down to an appropriate size.
Click on the image above to bring up the full size image, then you can save a copy of it to your desktop. (Right click or ctrl click) From there you can drop it into an email and send away.

Postcard Front and Back
Alright, here's what I was able to put together. Please review for accuracy. Make sure we have everything important on there. We sorta ran out of room, so if we need to add something we might have to take something else off.
Looking at it now, I see that we don't have the blog on there. It might make sense to put that on the front, at the bottom. Anyway, get back to me so that I can order these suckers. Thanks :-)

Post Card
March 10th, 2011:

Alright, added a little something over this image. JC asked for a lot of space. Let me know what else needs to be on the front here. We thinking we'll want to make the back where most details are advertised. Suggestions?
I gave a lot of fuss over nothing I think*, we stretched this image over the size of canvas we needed, but it don't look too bad. Not sure how it'll print up, sometimes hard to tell. I think this'll work. Sorry for the run around Joe Clay.

Good thought Joe Clay.
Here's an update based on the comments. JC sent me the info for the back, so I'll get going on that.

Haha, I'm obsessed with altering this thing
What sort of things should we include. Map? Reviews of the script, dates, venue? quick artist bios?

Crooks! What are your thoughts?
So, I've been kinda stuck on the next step for advertising, or I've been just procrastinating. I want to move forward on the design for the postcard that we'll be printing for the show.
This will be a 4" x 6" double sided print on card stock. I'm thinking full color front and B&W back with the show synopsis, maybe cast, and reviews of the script.
For the full color side, I wanted to use that cloud skyscape that I posted earlier, or I also have pulled an image from Google Maps satelite view of a CT home and pool in the woods. It looks pretty cool and could also make an intriguing background.
Anyway, any thoughts? Suggestions? I'll be getting this done Sunday, so act now.
